STAT. 80,000 - 1,800,000. At the apex of the trans-Atlantic slave trade in the 1780’s, about 80,000 fresh African bodies were being shipped to the New World annually. Today, approximately 1,800,000 new children (under 18) enter the global sex industry every year. (See NY Times source)
